The mission to implement the field surveys (WP2/WP4) for the MedGoat Prima Project was launched at the end of January under the supervision of Latifa Najar, coordinator of MEDGOAT project (CRSA, INSERM,France). The mission  was successfully organized by Office de l’Elevage et des Pâturages (OEP,Tunisia) and included a series of visits and exchanges across multiple governorates in Northern, Central, and Southern Tunisia.

These field activities enabled extremely productive discussions with the OEP’s leadership team, as well as knowledge-sharing sessions with engineers and regional directors  in each governorate. The  surveys are expected to generate a large-scale  data  for socioeconomic analyses (WP2/WP4, PhD, Souhayla Souissi, under the supervision of Jean Joseph Minviel (INRAE,UMR Herbivores, France ) as well as hundreds of field-level data, for the  Assessement of water and carbon footprints(WP5, Pr Hichem Bensalem, INRAT,Tunisia) contributing to the project’s sustainability assessment.
